Why don't we have the president's swans? It would a lot better than other things the current prexy and his gang have given us. Or maybe we should bite the bullet and have a constitutional monarch. Then there would be some limitations on what the leader of the free world could do.Back to the royal swans. OLGS here, commenting on the photo: it was taken at the pond just outside the gates of Holyrood Palace. I suppose the 'Queen's Own' live on the inside of the palace gates. One other note: these public pond swans gobbled up some left-over 'Jacob's Cream Cracker' that I happened to have in my pocket. Readers of "Domestic Tranquility" may read into that factoid what they will about the loyalty of the swans to the House of Windsor.
